The information you will be required to submit is similar to that required on previous entry forms.

You may add, delete and change images to your entry at any time up until you pay for the entry, when it becomes Complete.

You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card or by PayPal account using our secure checkout system. Once your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry and to edit artist and image information; however you will not be able to delete or substitute images.

January 11, 2020 - Hand pick-up, 10 am - 2 pm. Shipped works sent ASAP.

Eligible Work

  • Exhibition is open to regular juried in NAWA MEMBERS ONLY.
  • Size of work is FRAMED size. Works under the minimum size will be disqualified.
  • Minimum size INCLUDING frame: 18" x 20" (no exceptions). Works under the minimum size will be disqualified.
  • No ceiling hung artworks will be accepted. Sculpture NOT accepted.
  • No sawtooth hangers. All works must be wired to gallery standards and must meet professional presentation standards as interpreted by the NAWA Exhibition Committee
  • Plexiglass required for all works on paper. Exception: pastels can be framed in glass.
  • Accepted works cannot be substituted and must be available for the duration of the exhibition.
  • ALL WORKS MUST BE FOR SALE. Price, title, dimensions of entered work cannot be changed.
  • All works MUST be original - no reproductions or giclee prints.
  • Do not photograph your work in frames.
  • Graphic violence and/or lewd sexual content prohibited. Nudes are acceptable at the discretion of the committee.
  • Work will not be hung if it is damaged in transit. We will notify you immediately if your work arrives damaged.
  • Unframed canvas art work must have the sides painted (not left white).
  • NAWA reserves the right to refuse work not professionally presented.

Image Specifications

All images must be high quality jpeg (jpg) image files. Set your camera to the highest possible quality image, use good lighting on your painting without any glass in front of it, and use a tripod for your camera. You must crop out all parts of the photo that are not the actual painting; do not show mat, frame, etc, only the painting itself. Please save at 72 dpi resolution, with a size of 1200-1500 pixels on the longer side of the image (i.e. for a horizontal format, the width should be 1500 pixels; for vertical format, the height will be 1500 pixels; for a square format both dimensions are 1500 pixels.). The upload system will not accept very large files, so you must reduce the native image size to these specifications.

Filename Instructions

Name your image files

Use the following protocol for giving your image file a name for submission: Start with your last name, followed by an underscore, followed by your first initial, followed by another underscore, then the title of the image without spaces, then make sure it has the extension ".jpg".

For example: Carson_R_SilentSpring.jpg.

Shorten long titles in the filename, please, and remove all spaces and quotation marks.

On the entry form in the box for Title do enter the actual title of the piece as you would want it to appear in the show catalogue.

Fee Structure

Online submission deadline is October 1, 2019

Open to current NAWA members (juried) ONLY.

Fee for all entries:
Members: 1 - 2 images $40.00, one additional image add $5 (Maximum of 3 total)

Entry fees will be paid online by credit or debit card or by PayPal account.

Accepted Work: Notification, Delivery, Shipping

Accepted Artists will be listed on the NAWA Facebook page: (, on and by October 6.

All accepted artwork shall be offered for sale. A commission of 30% of the sales price shall be retained by NAWA. Prices shall remain fixed, and any pieces sold shall remain in the exhibit until final close of show.
