About the Exhibition

Time to show how you see the masterworks! In this exhibition, FALC members re-create or re-interpret artwork from a master artist no longer living. The member’s piece may be an exact replica or an interpretation of part or all of the selected masterwork.

Only one entry per person. Due to space limitations at the venue, the first 35 entries submitted on ShowSubmit will be accepted and the exhibition will close for entries at that point.

The judged exhibition will include several prizes, including a People’s Choice Award. Our judge will be esteemed local artist Jillian Goldberg. Please learn more about Jillian by visiting her website at jilliangoldbergart.com.

Submission through ShowSubmit consists of three required things:
  1. Your work;
  2. An image of the master reference work you used;
  3. A brief description, 50 words or less, detailing why you chose this particular work of art to copy in your special way. Visitors very much enjoy reading these descriptions! (SAMPLE: Christina’s World is probably Andrew Wyeth’s most famous work. His style is very different from my own, so I thought this painting would be both fun and challenging. It was also my mother’s favorite painting, so it has sentimental significance to me.)
