The Rochester Art Club 2026 Signature Members Spring Art Exhibition will open at Railroad Street Artworks, 3 Railroad St Suite G, Fairport, NY 14450, on Sunday, March 1, 2026. The show will continue through Friday, March 27, 2026.

Diana Buitrago, is a classically trained realist painter working on Landscapes and Portraits from life. She is from Colombia, living and working in New York City and Jersey City. You can see her work and read more about her at dianabuitrago.com.

Entry Fee

  • Up to 4 pieces may be submitted.
  • A non-refundable entry fee of $30 per artist is required, which covers 1 to 4 entries.

Rules of Entry

  • This show is open to all RAC Signature members. All entrants must be a member in good standing as of January 1, 2026.
  • Entries must have been created within the last two years and may not have been shown at any previous RAC or other juried show within Monroe County.
  • All aspects of the entry must be the artist’s original work including subject, photography, composition, drawing and painting (see professional guidelines below.)
  • Entries may not be produced in any instructional class or workshop, or under the paid mentorship of another artist.
  • No diptych or triptych paintings, mechanical reproductions, photography, crafts or computer-generated art.
  • 3-D art is acceptable for this show. All art must be displayed on the walls.
  • Nudes are not acceptable for this show.
  • All paintings must be dry, securely framed or gallery wrapped, and supported by picture wire only. Sawtooth hangers are NOT allowed.
  • Please make sure that your wire ends are covered with tape to prevent injuries to the hanging committee.
  • Fill out and attach labels on the last page of this prospectus.
  • The four pieces submitted should have the maximum combined diagonal measurement of 80”, including mat and frame. See the diagram in the prospectus PDF if you are unsure how to do this.
  • The Rochester Art Club does not anticipate damage or theft; however, neither Railroad Street nor Rochester Art Club is liable for loss, damage, or theft of art works during any phase of this exhibit.
  • The artist grants permission to reproduce work for digital publicity purposes. Copyright will be attributed to the artist. Entry into this exhibition constitutes agreement with all conditions set forth in the prospectus and entry form and is your commitment to participate.
  • All artwork must remain on exhibit until the end of the show. This means artwork MAY NOT be picked up BEFORE the pickup time or AFTER the pickup time on Saturday, March 28, 2026 10am-noon.
The Rochester Art Club reserves the right to refuse artwork that does not follow our framing requirements and professional guidelines. It is every member’s responsibility to meet drop off and pick up times. If you cannot meet them, arrange for someone else to drop or pick up at those set times… no exceptions.


Professional Guidelines

All entries must be entirely created by the artist all the way through the process from conception to the finished piece. Artist’s own reference photos (if needed) must be used. Example: photos used for reference must be original, from life, taken by the artist. No stock photo references or third party photos are permitted.

Only one award per member is allowed.

Sales

Work may be for sale; NFS is allowed.

Railroad Street Artworks will collect money for sales, no commission except for 3% fee if credit card sale, payouts to artists at end of show.

All artwork must remain on exhibit until the end of the show.

Additional Notification Information

Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on February 12, 2026.

If you do not receive your email, login and view the notification in your account. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications.

Image and Filename Specifications

  • File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
  • Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
  • Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
  • Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
  • File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
  • File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.

Additional Entry Information

  • You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
  • After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (February 2, 2026.)
  • Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
  • Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
