About the Exhibition

The Fine Arts League of Cary presents its 31st Annual Juried Exhibition, which is open for submission to artists living in the regional areas of North Carolina and neighboring states. Membership in the Fine Arts League of Cary is not required for entry into this prestigious exhibition.

In total, we will award $2500 in prizes for two-dimensional artwork in a variety of mediums, styles and genres. The Page-Walker Arts and History Center in downtown Cary, NC once again will host the exhibition which runs from June 30, 2026 until September 14, 2026.

We are thrilled that our juror and judge of awards will be well-known Chapel Hill, NC artist Lynn Sanguedolce.

Fine Arts League of Cary's mission is to enhance the lives of all artists through opportunities to exhibit, to learn, and to be inspired in fellowship with artists in every visual art medium. FALC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Entry Fee

  • $35 for up to 3 works.
  • Each artist may submit up to three pieces. Only one piece may be selected per artist.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Artists aged 18 and over with residences in the regional area of North Carolina and its neighboring states are eligible for the FALC 31st Annual Juried Exhibition.
  • Membership in the Fine Arts League of Cary is NOT required.
Please note: All artwork must be dropped off and picked up at the exhibition venue in Cary, North Carolina. We do not accept shipped artwork for this event.
Original work shall comply with the following criteria:
  1. The work is the artist’s original creation and is not, in whole or in part, a copy of any other person’s work or photograph.
  2. The work was created solely by the artist and not under supervision of an instructor. Work created during a workshop or class is ineligible for entry.
  3. The work is not a photographic computer generated or other form of electronically generated work.
  4. Artificial Intelligence, “AI” enhanced or created art and photography is prohibited from entry into the Exhibition.
  5. Photographs must be original work, printed in either a darkroom or computer on photographic paper. Photographs on canvas are acceptable. Digitally created images are acceptable if the entirety of the artwork and all digital elements are solely the creation of the artist. Minor revisions such as burning, dodging, contrast adjustment are allowed. Except as stated above, computer-generated, digitally manipulated imagery (beyond digital darkroom) and/or photoshopping, etc. are not allowed.
  6. Art reproductions including giclee, art prints, etc., are not eligible. No copies, mechanical reproductions, molds or kit work will be accepted.

Rules for Entry

Each entry of the proposed artwork is to follow the rules below. Failure to follow these rules may result in disqualification of your submission.
  1. Uploaded using the ShowSubmit portal.
  2. Shown without frame, mat, glass, or background visible.
  3. Presented with the image right-side up and not blurry.
  4. Size limitation is 40 x 40 inches, including framing.
  5. Work on gallery-wrapped canvas may be unframed if the edges are painted and the canvas is at least 1 ½ inches deep.
  6. Entries may not be changed after entry deadline.
  7. Accepted works cannot be substituted once selected and must be available for the duration of the Exhibition.
  8. Title and dimensions of entered work cannot be changed after Entry Deadline.
  9. All works must be wired to gallery standards. Accepted artists will receive specific instructions for wiring in their notification email from ShowSubmit.
  10. Artwork must be labeled on the back with the artist’s name, phone number and email.
  11. Artwork must be for sale. The Fine Arts League of Cary will receive a commission of 25% of the sale.
  12. Entries must be family appropriate. FALC has the right to refuse work deemed inappropriate.

Sales

Work must be for sale; NFS is not allowed. The Fine Arts League of Cary will receive a commission of 25% of the sale.

Liability

All entries will be handled with the best care possible. However, FALC, its members and the hosting facility shall not be responsible for loss or damage from any cause. By entering any FALC exhibition or venue, the entering member agrees to abide by these rules.
The artist retains copyright to their image. However, by submitting to this exhibition, artist agrees to FALC's use of the images for publicity (including future FALC event promotion) and archival purposes. Submission of entries constitutes agreement with all conditions set forth in this prospectus.

Additional Notification Information

Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on June 24, 2026.

If you do not receive your email, login and view the notification in your account. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications.

Image and Filename Specifications

  • File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
  • Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
  • Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
  • Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
  • File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
  • File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.

Additional Entry Information

  • You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
  • After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (June 15, 2026.)
  • Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
  • Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
