- $40 for up to 4 works.

Artwork Theme
Exhibition Requirements
- You must be a paid member of SAL in good standing. Become a Member
- 2D original artwork only; must not be an unauthorized copy. Canopy Hotel requires all artwork to be western/southwestern theme.
- 3D work not accepted for this exhibit
- Size limits (including frame) – Largest: 40” on any side; Smallest: 11”x14”
- Paintings <1.5” deep must be framed; edges of unframed artwork (≥1.5” deep), must be professionally finished.
- Photography and digital artwork must be professional quality and meet all framing and hanging requirements.
- All work must be wired with D-rings or eye hooks.
- Sawtooth hangers not permitted.
- You may not exchange a painting once selected.
Entry Instructions
- Submit up to four (4) artworks
- Submit high-quality JPG images.
- The image must be art only – no gaps, mat, or frame showing.
- Include for each work – Title, Medium, Price, Artwork Size and Framed Size
When Dropping off Accepted Artwork
Sales
Canopy does not participate in sales. SAL handles all sales and will contact you promptly if your artwork sells. If you cannot replace it the same day with artwork of a similar size and required theme, we may replace it with another artist’s work. If the buyer requests shipping, the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs, insurance, and making shipping arrangements directly with the artist.
Proceeds from the sale of artwork will be distributed as follows: 70% to Artist; 30% to Scottsdale Artists League. SAL Treasurer will distribute proceeds within 15 days of show end.
Terms
- Photos/videos of show art may be used in promotions by SAL and/or Canopy by Hilton.
- Compliance with SAL’s Code of Conduct and Material Usage Policy. Violations may result in immediate removal and future participation restrictions.
- Show Chairpersons and Co-Chairpersons have sole and absolute discretion to:
- Accept or reject submitted artwork
- Determine placement and display of artwork
- Remove any artwork or participant for conduct that is disruptive, disrespectful, unsafe, or detrimental to SAL, the venue, or participants
- All Chairperson decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
- Artist warrants that all submitted artwork is original, or that Artist holds all necessary rights to display and sell the work. Artist agrees to indemnify and hold SAL harmless against any intellectual property claims arising from the artwork.
- Artist knowingly and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with participating in this show, including but not limited to damage, loss, or theft of artwork and personal property.
Release and Indemnification
- Damage to, theft of, or loss of artwork or property
- Personal injury
- Artist conduct
- Setup, display, removal, or transportation of artwork or materials
- Use of images
- Environmental conditions including sunlight, humidity, temperature, water, fire, or acts of God
- Third-party actions including theft, vandalism, or criminal acts
Some display walls receive direct sunlight, which may cause condensation between glazing and artwork. Artwork placement cannot be guaranteed. Artists should consider this when selecting and framing entries.
SAL and Canopy by Hilton will exercise reasonable care but are not responsible for loss or damage, however caused, except where resulting from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of SAL or Canopy by Hilton.

Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on May 20, 2026.
If you do not receive your email, login and view the notification in your account. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications.
Image and Filename Specifications
- File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
- Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
- Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
- Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
- File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
- File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.
Additional Entry Information
- You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
- After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (May 8, 2026.)
- Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
- Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
