$15,000 is the planned student scholarship and monetary awards for this year’s Senior Art Show.
CAG will again be using the online entry portal for art submissions. We will provide a link to you for sharing with your students. Each high school senior can create a free account and upload images of their art for entry into the Senior Show. Images of the entries will be displayed at the awards reception, on a large screen and displayed online.
Scholarships this year are:
- CAG 1: $2000
- CAG 2: $2000
- CAG 3: $2000
- New Jersey Community Foundation Scholarship: $2000
- New Jersey Community Foundation Founder’s Scholarship: $2000
- Faye Sullivan Scholarship Fund #1 $2000
- Faye Sullivan Scholarship Fund #2 $2000
Monetary awards are:
- 1st place: $350
- 2nd place: $225
- 3rd place: $125
- 6 honorable mentions of $50 each

Eligibility Requirements
- Open to 2025 high school seniors from the greater Charleston region of Charleston, Berkeley and Dorchester counties.
- Original painting, drawing, or photography artwork completed within the past year is eligible.
- 3D, sculpture, fiber, crafts, or other forms of decorative arts are not eligible for entry.
- An important rule for entry is the following. The work is the artist’s original creation and is not in whole or in part, a copy of any other person’s artwork or photograph. Works that don’t follow this rule will be disqualified from being considered for judging.

- The work is the artist’s original creation and is not in whole or in part, a copy of any other person’s work or photograph.
- The artist solely created the work.
- The work is not a photographic computer generated or other form of electronically generated work.
- Artificial Intelligence, “AI” enhanced or created art and photography is ineligible for entry.
- Photographs must be original work, printed in either a darkroom or computer on photographic paper. Photograph on canvas and digitally manipulated images aren’t eligible. Minor revisions such as burning, dodging, contrast adjustment are allowed. No computer-generated, digitally manipulated imagery (beyond digital darkroom), collaging, or photoshopping, etc.
Rules for Entry
- Uploaded using the ShowSubmit portal.
- Fully representative of the work you would like to show in the online exhibit.
- Professionally cropped.
- Shown without frame, mat, glass, or background visible.
- Presented with the image right side up and not blurry.
Entries can be changed or replaced until Thursday, February 20, 2025, when they are finalized for judging.

Image and Filename Specifications
- File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
- Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
- Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
- Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
- File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
- File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.
Additional Entry Information
- After your entry is submitted, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and substitute your image up until the entry deadline (February 20, 2025.)
- Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
