Invitational exhibit at the Reading Public Museum
September 15, 2026 – January 3, 2027

The Reading Public Museum will again host a curated exhibition featuring 100 works selected from the accepted entries of Allied Artists’ 113th Online Exhibition.

Awards

Over $45,000 in cash
  • $5,000 Audrey Love Award
  • AAA Gold Medal of Honor, $6,000
  • AAA Silver Medal of Honor, $4,000
  • AAA Bronze Medal of Honor, $3,000
International artists must have PayPal to receive award payment, Allied Artists of America does not issue international payments any other way. If international artist does not have PayPal they will not receive award payment. Entry to the competition signifies agreement and understanding of these terms.

Eligibility

  • Open to all artists from around the world 18 years and older.
  • You do not need to be a member of Allied Artists of America to enter the exhibition.
  • Eligible Media: Original 2 dimensional original artwork in oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, graphic, mixed media and sculpture. No photography or digital art.
  • Not Eligible: photography, digital art, or AI-generated work
  • Works don't have to be for sale, No POR (Price upon request).
  • Work must be framed for the Reading Public Museum show.

Size Limitation

All works submitted for both the Online Exhibition and the Museum Invitational must meet the following requirements.

Two-dimensional work:
  • Maximum size: 48 inches in either direction including frame.
  • Must be framed, wired and ready to hang-we do not provide framing hardware.
  • No glass permitted, please use plexiglass.
Sculpture in the round:
  • Maximum dimensions: 48 x 24 x24 inches (excluding base)
  • Maximum weight 150lbs.
Reliefs:
  • Maximum dimensions: 36" x 36" x 6" inches
  • Maximum weight: 30 lbs.
Size restrictions will be enforced. Work exceeding the maximum limits will be rejected.

Entry Fee

  • Up to 2 works.
  • $65 for the first work, $15 for the second work.
  • Elected Members will be admitted to the online exhibition jury-free. Associates and Non-Members will be juried. The entry fee applies to all entrants.
  • The $65 fee must be paid by all.
Incomplete entries will be disqualified.

Show Catalog

A complete list of exhibitors will be listed in the catalog. The artist's name, address, title of their work, and price are printed in the exhibitor's list. Entry to the 113th Exhibition signifies agreement to these terms.

Shipping

Museum Invitational only. If selected for the Reading Public Museum exhibition, artists may ship using UPS, FedEx or similar carriers. The Museum will unpack and repack your work.

A prepaid return shipping label must be included in the shipping box.

Acceptance and Award Notifications

A complete list of all accepted artists will be posted on the AAA website beginning Wednesday, July 15, 2026.

Awards announcements will also be posted online.

Sales

Work may be for sale; NFS is allowed.
AAA takes no commission on sales for either the online or the museum exhibition. All sales inquiries will be handled directly between the artist and the buyer. Allied Artists of America will not act as intermediary.

Liability

Reading Public Museum and Allied Artists of America Inc. assume no liability for loss or damage of art for any cause during shipping.

Additional Notification Information

Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on July 15, 2026.

If you do not receive your email, login and view the notification in your account. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications.

Image and Filename Specifications

  • File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
  • Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
  • Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
  • Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
  • File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
  • File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.

Additional Entry Information

  • You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
  • After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (June 17, 2026.)
  • Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
  • Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
