Jurors

There are three jurors for this shows: Bilan Liao, WeiXin Xu, and Zhenhuan Lu.

Bilan Liao is an artist, art educator and filmmaker, she is a retired art professor and chair at the Paducah School of Art and Design, KY. Now she lives in Georgia. In China, she served as Vice Chairman of the Shenzhen Longgang of Literary and Art Association, Director of the Painting Department of the Cultural Center, and President of the Photography Association.

Weixin Xu is an artist and art educator. He lives in New York. He was an art professor and dean at the School of Art of Renmin University of China. He is an artist concerned with historical events and contemporary social issues in China and the world; in this extraordinary series of portraits, Xu emerges from a background as a Chinese realist painter to poignantly raise issues often obscured by abstraction and fragmentary messages.

Zhenhuan Lu is a prolific professional artist, whose paintings have been exhibited in museums and galleries across the United States and China. His works are held in the National Museum of China and in private and public collections throughout the United States. In 2002, he was invited by First Lady Laura Bush to the White House to create an oil painting for that year's official White House Christmas card. The original oil painting of this greeting card is listed in the permanent collection of the White House.
