About the Exhibition

INfocus is a juried art exhibition showcasing contemporary works by Indiana artists working in photography. The exhibition seeks to highlight creative and high quality images and to provide artists an opportunity for professional exhibition and recognition. Entrants are required to read the full prospectus before submitting.

Eligibility

  • Open to artists 18yrs+ who currently reside in the state of Indiana
  • Photographs must be original
  • Photography must have been completed within the last two years
  • Artwork must not have been previously exhibited at AMOA. If a submitted work has been discovered to have been previously exhibited, it will be removed prior to judging. No refunds. No substitutes.

  • Digitally Enhanced/Manipulated Photography (AI originated work is not accepted)
If the submitted work is discovered to have been originated through AI, the work will be removed prior to judging. No refunds. No substitutes.

Entry Requirements

  • All entries must be original work by the entering photographer.
  • Photographers may submit up to 10 works for consideration.
  • All submissions must be made through Showsubmit.com.
  • Entries must include title, medium, dimensions, year completed, and retail price. Entries should be clearly marked NFS if not for sale.
  • Color and/or monochrome accepted
  • Works may be printed by the photographer or commercially. We do NOT print.
  • Minimum submission size: 5"x 7"
  • Maximum submission size: 30" x 40"
  • Photographs must be matted or mounted to a material that is at least 16"x16".
  • Panoramic mounts must have a height of at least 12" and must be longer than 16".
  • Acceptable mounting materials include mat board, foam core, styrene, or other like material. No cardboard, poster board, metal, canvas, or wood mountings accepted.
  • Photographs must either go to the edge of your mount or have a window mat on top. Neutral colored mats (black, white, or grey) recommended but not required. Framed work will not be accepted.

Entry Fees

$20 for initial entry for non-members / $20 for two initial entries for members $10 for each additional entry for members and non-members

Entry fees are non-refundable

Judging & Awards

Juror, George Abiad

All entries will be judged and a limited number of entries will be selected by the juror for public exhibition.

Seven category awards will be selected at the discretion of the juror for best of each category listed above.

Approximately $1,700 in prizes
will be awarded at the exhibition opening on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 6:30pm.

Sales

All artwork must be for sale unless otherwise noted and marked NFS. Anderson Museum of Art will be responsible for all sales.

A commission of 30% will be retained by Anderson Museum of Art on all sales.

Delivery & Liability

Accepted artists are responsible for delivery and pick up/shipping of artwork. Delivery address: Anderson Museum of Art / 32 W 10th Street / Anderson, IN 46016 All works must be ready to hang and display.

Reasonable care will be taken, but AMOA is not responsible for loss or damage.

Agreement

Submission to this exhibition constitutes agreement with all conditions outlined in this prospectus as well as the decisions made by the juror. Anderson Museum of Art selects images that align with our community values.

Insurance

All accepted works will be insured while at the AMOA at a value agreeable to the artist and to AMOA. AMOA will not be responsible for insuring unclaimed artwork after Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Pick up Dates After Exhibition

It is the photographer’s responsibility to pick up work on the days required. If you need to send someone else to make the pick up for you, an email notification to [email protected] will be required at least five business days prior.

Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 10am-4pm

Artwork not picked up by Tuesday, June 30, 2026 becomes the sole property of Anderson Museum of Art.

Additional Notification Information

Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on March 20, 2026.

If you do not receive your email, login and view the notification in your account. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications.

Image and Filename Specifications

  • File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
  • Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
  • Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
  • Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
  • File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
  • File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.

Additional Entry Information

  • You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
  • After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (March 13, 2026.)
  • Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
  • Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
