Media can include oils, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, oil pastel, encaustic, colored pencil, silverpoint, graphite, pen and ink, digital art, photography, scratchboard, charcoal, small sculpture and mixed media. Work must be original in concept and execution. No AI generated artwork please.
There is a 40% commission between the artist and the gallery on all sales. All accepted artwork shall remain on exhibit for the duration of the show, including any sold items.
Ancillaerie is excited to announce our first juried exhibition “Home for the Holidays.” This juried show will feature a variety of artworks that feature the broad theme of “home” here in NW Indiana. Subject matter can include landscape, portraits, animals, and abstracts as long as they can be tied back to the theme of “home.” Artwork size should be no larger than 24” on the longest side

Accepted Artists
All accepted artists artwork will be exhibited at the “HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS” Exhibition at Ancillaerie in Chesterton, IN from November 23, 2024 – January 10, 2025.
Entry Fees
- Up to 3 works.
- $25 for the first work.
- $10 for each additional work.
Entry fees are non-refundable. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
Eligibility
- Open to all national and regional artists.
- Accepted mediums include oils, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, oil pastel, encaustic, colored pencil, silverpoint, graphite, pen and ink, digital art, photography, scratchboard, charcoal, sculpture and mixed media.
- Gallery wrapped canvas without frame is acceptable.
- Artwork size should be 24” or smaller. (including frame)
- Artists are responsible for providing images with an accurate representation of their work.
- All accepted artworks must be professionally framed with wire for hanging. NO plastic frame or sawtooth hangers!
- Works not received by the stated dates will not be hung.
- Acceptance/Rejection emails will arrive via ShowSubmit.
- Artists can edit their own entries during the entirety of the submission period through ShowSubmit.
- After the submission deadline, changes to submission entry will not be accepted.
- Submissions not adhering to the above guidelines may be omitted from the exhibition.
Jurors
Submissions will be judged on creativity, originality, technique/skill, presentation, and overall quality and cohesiveness within the show.
Sales
Work must be for sale; NFS is not allowed.

Artwork Delivery
Accepted artwork may be hand-delivered to Ancillaerie at 109 S Calumet Rd, Chesterton, IN on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 between 10am-6pm.
Shipped Work
After acceptance, works being shipped must be sent to the gallery with the name of the exhibition on the outside of the package.
Artwork Removal
Works must be removed immediately after the exhibition. A pre-paid return shipping label must be provided by the artist, if the work is to be shipped back after the exhibition.
We do not have storage or are responsible for artwork that is not picked up. Retrieval of hand-delivered items is scheduled for Saturday, January 11th 2025 between 10am-4pm at Ancillaerie.

Additional Notification Information
Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on November 13, 2024.
You may view the notification in your ShowSubmit account by logging in and clicking tapping the Notifications at the top right of the screen, or in your Entry History (Accepted works will be notated by a green check.)
If you do not receive your email, login and view the notification in your account. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications.
Note: Entries made prior to 2023 may not display the View Notification link.
Image and Filename Specifications
- Submit your original JPEG image files.
- Crop out all parts of the photo that are not the actual work; do not show mat, frame, etc, only the work itself.
- Image must be displayed right side up.
- You do not need to resize your image files.
- You do not need to rename your image files.
Additional Entry Information
- You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
- After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (November 11, 2024.)
- Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
- Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
