Drift

Whether inspired by tides, time, emotion, or materials, this exhibition invites artwork that follows a path of gentle shifts or dramatic drifts. Think erosion, evolution, migration, memory, and letting go.

We encourage interpretations that are personal, physical, or conceptual—work that reveals the beauty in impermanence, process, or transformation.

From the literal to the abstract, from soft palettes to layered textures, Drift seeks to explore the unseen forces that carry us forward—or pull us away.

We welcome submissions across all styles and media: abstract, figurative, conceptual, and beyond. From the bold and saturated to the subtle and serene, let your work light up the space.

All accepted artists artwork will be exhibited at the “Drift” Exhibition at Art Studio Hamptons Gallery in Westhampton Beach, New York. from Sunday, June 29, 2025-Sunday, July 27, 2025.

Opening reception is Sunday, June 29, 2025, 4-6pm.

Accepted artists will also have the opportunity to upload up to 10 additional approved artworks to our Gallery database online portfolio which is available to clients and where we request artwork for additional shows throughout the year.

Submissions will be judged on creativity, originality, technique/skill, presentation, and overall quality and cohesiveness within the show.

Work must be for sale; NFS is not allowed.

There is a customary 50/50 split between the artist and the gallery on all sales. All accepted artwork shall remain on exhibit for the duration of the show, including any sold items.

Accepted artwork may be hand-delivered to Art Studio Hamptons Gallery, 108 Main Street #2, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978 on Monday, June 23, 2025 between 9am–12pm.

After acceptance, works being shipped must be sent in Air Float boxes with the name of the exhibition on the outside of the package.

Artists who do not utilize Air Float boxes will not be opened and exhibited.

We use the boxes to safely ship sold artwork to clients.

Works must be removed immediately after the exhibition. A pre-paid return shipping label must be provided by the artist, if the work is to be shipped back after the exhibition.

We do not have storage or are responsible for artwork that is not picked up. Retrieval of hand-delivered items is scheduled for Monday, July 28, 9am-12pm at Art Studio Hamptons Gallery.

Additional Notification Information

Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on June 20, 2025.

You may view the notification in your ShowSubmit account by logging in and clicking tapping the Notifications at the top right of the screen, or in your Entry History.

If you do not receive your email, login and view the notification in your account. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications.

Note: Entries made prior to 2023 may not display the View Notification link.

Image and Filename Specifications

• File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
• Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
• Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
• Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
• File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
• File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.

Additional Entry Information

• You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
• After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (June 13, 2025.)
• Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
• Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
