Entry Fees

  • Juried Elected Member
    $45 for first entry, $10 for second entry
  • Associate Member
    $55 for first entry, $10 for second entry
  • Non-Member
    $75 for first entry, $20 for second entry
Non-Members may join as an Associate, and then enter under Associate status. Artists can enter two pieces to be juried in, however only one per artist will be accepted.

The fee is payable with your credit card when you enter. Please be sure to use the correct membership status. Discrepancies may result in disqualification.

Entry fees are non-refundable.

Image Format

Submit Professional quality images of your artwork only, not including frame, in JPEG format. Your image files will be automatically resized and renamed according to your registration information. Eligibility

  • Any woman artist may submit original artwork for jurying.
  • Work must have been created within the last three years.
  • Gicles, photography, computer generated images, crafts, work done under instruction, derived from published photographs or previously shown in a CLWAC Annual Open Juried Exhibition is not eligible.
  • AI (artificial intelligence) cannot be used to create photo references, or used in any other manner in the development of the work.
  • Work by members shown in the Members Exhibition is eligible.
  • Derivative work of artwork shown in previous CLWAC Annual Open Juried Exhibitions is not eligible.

2-Dimensional Artwork

  • Eligible media: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel, Drawing, Graphics, Collage, and Mixed Media.
  • Artwork, including frame, must not exceed 42” in width or height.
  • All 2-D work must be framed, wired and ready for hanging.
  • Gallery wrap is permitted (enter the same dimensions as your work size in the frame dimension fields).
  • Plastic glazing is recommended.
  • No Sawtooth hangers.
  • No Artwork incorporating hazardous materials.

3-Dimensional Artwork

  • Sculptors must submit two views (except for wall hangings.)
  • All sculptures must be light enough for one person to handle.
  • Wall-hung art must be equipped with a sufficient hanging device.
  • Ceiling hung works are not eligible.
  • Do not submit very small sculptures; there is no display case for these.
  • Sculptors living within 50 miles of Salmagundi Art Club must provide their own floor standing, stable pedestals or pay an additional $25 pedestal rental fee. Base MUST be adequately supportive.

Acceptance Notification

Acceptance notification via email Friday, September 18, 2026. The email will include a label to be downloaded and attached to accepted work. Alternatively, use the label at the bottom of this prospectus.

Receiving Day

Sunday, October 25, 2026 9:00 AM to 11:30.

Accepted works will be received only on the date and during the hours specified. Artwork must arrive unpacked, whether delivered by artist or agent, to the Salmagundi Art Club, 47 5th Ave., New York, NY 10003. Shipper should receive work in advance to allow its timely transport to the gallery. The name given to your shipper must be identical to your online application. Two available shippers are:

2-Dimensional Awards Jurors

Jacqueline Lorieo President of the National Association of Women Artists, started her career three decades ago and has studied in New York, France, and Italy, as well as through a masters program in Occupational Therapy at NYU. Lorieo works in several media, including clay, wood, bronze, and glass. Her work is included in public and private collections, including the British Museum, the American Numismatic Society, Helen Hayes Hospital, Gaylord Hospital, and the Austin Center. She has exhibited in numerous shows in the USA and abroad, winning several awards, including the gold medal for sculpture from the National Association of Women Artists, and the study scholarship from the American Numismatic Association’s Gilroy Roberts Foundation.

Rebecca Jean Leer is a painter of American traditional realism. She teaches oil painting at the Ridgewood Art Institute. Classically trained, Ms. Leer received a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology for medical illustration. She studied oil painting with John Philip Osborne. She has gleaned awards and honors from many Societies of Illustrators, the Hudson Valley Artists Association, the American Artist Professional League, Allied Artists of America, Oil Painters of America, the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club and others. Ms. Leer was recently profiled by American Artist Magazine as one of 12 up and coming artists.

3-Dimensional Awards Jurors

Elizabeth Allison was born in Chicago, IL. She received a BFA from The University of Michigan and a MFA from The City College of New York, in addition to studying at The Art Students League of New York. She lives and works in New York City. Allison has received the Raluca Popescu Memorial Scholarship, a Nessa Cohen Grant, and three Elizabeth Greenshields Grants. She had a monumental sculpture in Riverside Park South in New York City, which is now installed on the campus of Rockland Community College. Allison’s work has been featured in the New York Times and she is a member of the International Watercolor Academy.

Leonor Mendoza is a Venezuelan artist based in New York. Mendoza holds a BFA from the Federico Brandt Art Institute in Caracas (1993) and a Residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris (2000). Mendoza has exhibited her work nationally and internationally through solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums, including Fondazione Luciano Benetton, Italy, Museo del Barrio, NY, and Art Museum of the Americas (OAS), Washington, DC. Her work is represented in the collections of Fondazione Luciano Benetton (Italy), Jacobo Borges Museum (Venezuela), Art Museum of the Americas (USA), Venezuelan Industrial Bank (Venezuela), and Sidetur (Venezuela). Mendoza’s work has been featured in the New York Times, Architectural Records, Magazine, NY Arts Magazine, Art Nexus, among others.

Sales

Work must be for sale; NFS is not allowed.

Every effort will be made to encourage sales. A contribution of 30% will be accepted by the CLWAC. All artwork must be for sale. No artwork can be listed as POR or NFS. The artist is responsible for sales tax and delivery of artwork to the purchaser.

Removal of Artwork

No artwork may be removed for the duration of the exhibition. You may only remove your artwork after the end of the Awards Reception, by signing and returning the label from the back of the artwork. (you MUST register if you plan to attend the Awards Reception) All other artwork must be removed on Saturday, November 14, 2026 from 10 AM to 1 PM. Work not removed will be stored at the artist’s expense with D. A. D.

Awards Totaling more than $18,000 More then 40 awards will be given. All awards will be presented at the Awards Reception: Friday, November 13, 2026 7 PM. Due to venue restrictions on capacity, you MUST register to attend by November 7, clwac.org/event-6708492

Exhibitors may enter free, but still need to register. Guests will be charged an entry fee of $10 each. After November 7, the entrance fee for guests will be increased to $20 per guest. clwac.org/event-6708492

Benefit Reception

Supporting the Metropolitan Museum of Art, American Wing Travel and Research Fund. Thursday, October 29, 2026 from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at the Salmagundi Club.

With Guest Speaker Tosca Ruggieri, art historian and professional tour guide, Bachelor’s Degree in Art History, Master’s in Art & Archaeology, and a Master’s in Arts & Cultural Management. She has worked in private art collections, prestigious galleries and taught art history, before bringing her passion for storytelling and artistic interpretation to a wider audience. Her mission is to connect audiences with the rich narratives and cultural significance behind the world’s most celebrated works of art.

Silent Auction will take place for the duration of the show featuring artwork by prominent CLWAC artists. The auction will close after the Awards Reception on November 13.

Image and Filename Specifications

  • File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
  • Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
  • Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
  • Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
  • File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
  • File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.

  • You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
  • After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (September 1, 2026.)
  • Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
  • Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
