Wilson Gallery
Noreen Reale Falcone Library / LeMoyne College

Wilson Gallery / Falcone Library is Building #5 on the campus map (lemoyne.edu for a larger version).

Lot EE on Salt Springs Rd. across from the Falcone Library has 10 visitor parking spots. Lot C has 6 handicap parking spots.

There is a small access road to the left of the library that comes off Salt Springs Rd. Use this for dropping off or picking up works, if it is available. Artist Eligibility

This call for entries is open to all Associate and Signature members in good standing (dues current). Members may submit 1 or 2 works.

Artwork Requirements

  • All work must be original. No reproductions will be accepted.
  • Works done at a workshop or under the supervision of an instructor are not eligible.
  • Works done from published photos (such as those on "free" online image sites), or reference materials that are not the creation of the artist, are not eligible. Photo reference material must be by you, the artist, or from a permission-granted, non-published photo taken by others.
  • Works shown at previous CNYWS exhibits are not accepted.
  • All works must have been executed within the past two years.
  • All work must be in water-soluble media on paper or Yupo. Water-soluble media includes: Transparent or opaque watercolor, casein, gouache, egg tempera, and acrylic painted in an aqueous manner (no thick or raised impasto-like application).
  • A limited use of pastel, collage, or ink, not constituting more than 10% of the work, is allowed.
Framing & Presentation Requirements
  1. All works must be framed under Plexiglas. No glass will be allowed. If matting, only white or off-white is allowed. A thin, 1/4 inch, colored liner is permitted. Frames must be sturdy and wired to hang. No sawtooth hangers.
  2. All delivered art must be boxed in a sturdy container that can be easily carried by one hand. If container is too large, hand holds should be cut into the container for ease of carrying. (Attached strings as "handles" are not recommended.)
  3. The box should be designed for ease of opening and re-sealing. The size of the box must be appropriate for the size of the largest work in the box.
  4. Each box (as well as each work) must have label(s) attached with the artist's name, address, email or phone number, and work info.
  5. Members sending work by UPS or USPS must send to Shipper/Receiver no later than the "deliver to collector" deadline date of the exhibit. All shipping fees, to and from, are the responsibility of the artist.

We encourage artists to provide a brief statement to be displayed with each work.

We have had very positive feedback from gallery visitors regarding the personalized statements, as they allow viewers to connect more closely with the work.

Statements should be specific to each work and approx. 30 words or less. What inspired the work? What materials or techniques were used?
