Member artists of the Fine Arts League of Cary may submit one work which will be displayed at the Page-Walker Arts and History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop, Cary, North Carolina. This is not a curated exhibition for submission. Acceptance in the exhibition is guaranteed for the first 70 registered artists, due to capacity limitations at Page-Walker. Membership in the Fine Arts League of Cary is required.

Entry

- Member artists of the Fine Arts League of Cary may submit one work.
- This is not a curated exhibition for submission.
- Acceptance in the exhibition is guaranteed for the first 70 registered artists, due to capacity limitations at Page-Walker.
Eligibility Requirements
- Membership in the Fine Arts League of Cary is required.
- Open to all Members of the Fine Arts League of Cary.
- Original painting or photography artwork completed within the past three years is eligible.
- 3D, sculpture, crafts, or other forms of decorative arts are not eligible for entry.
Original work shall comply with the following criteria:
- The work is the artist’s original creation and is not, in whole or in part, a copy of any other person’s work or photograph.
- The work was created solely by the artist and not under supervision of an instructor. Work created during a workshop or class is ineligible for entry.
- The work is not a photographic computer generated or other form of electronically generated work.
- Artificial Intelligence, “AI” enhanced or created art and photography is prohibited from entry into the Exhibition.
- Photographs must be original work, printed in either a darkroom or computer on photographic paper. Photographs on canvas are acceptable. Digitally manipulated images are not accepted. Minor revisions such as burning, dodging, contrast adjustment are allowed. No computer generated, digitally manipulated imagery (beyond digital darkroom), collaging, or photoshopping, etc.
- Art reproductions including giclee, art prints, etc., are not eligible. No copies, mechanical reproductions, molds or kit work will be accepted.
Rules for Entry
Each entry of the proposed artwork is to be:
- Uploaded using the ShowSubmit portal.
- Shown without frame, mat, glass, or background visible.
- Presented with the image right-side up and not blurry.
- Size limitation is 40 x 40 inches, including framing.
- Work on gallery-wrapped canvas may be unframed if the edges are painted.
- Entries may not be changed after entry.
- Accepted works cannot be substituted and must be available for the duration of the Exhibition.
- Title and dimensions of entered work cannot be changed after Entry.
- All works must be wired to gallery standards. Accepted artists will receive specific instructions for wiring in their notification email from ShowSubmit.
- Artwork must be labeled on the back with the artist’s name, phone number and email.
- Artwork must be for sale.
- Entries must be family appropriate. FALC has the right to refuse work deemed inappropriate.
Sales
Work must be for sale; NFS is not allowed.
The Fine Arts League of Cary will receive a commission of 25% of the sale. If the patron discovered the art piece during the exhibition and it is sold up to 90 days past the exhibition end date, this rule applies. The artist must notify the Exhibition Chair of the sale. The Exhibition Chair will notify the Exhibition Chair of the sold work and the price for which it sold in order to generate an invoice. Failure to report a sale to FALC will result in the artist being ineligible to submit artwork to FALC exhibitions/exhibitions for a period of 6 months.
The Fine Arts League of Cary will receive a commission of 25% of the sale. Liability
All entries will be handled with the best care possible. However, FALC, its members and the hosting facility shall not be responsible for loss or damage from any cause. By entering any FALC exhibition or venue, the entering member agrees to abide by these rules.
Copyright statement
The artist retains copyright to their image. However, by submitting to this exhibition, artist agrees to FALC's use of the images for publicity (including future FALC event promotion) and archival purposes. Submission of entries constitutes agreement with all conditions set forth in this prospectus
Image and Filename Specifications
- File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
- Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
- Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
- Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
- File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
- File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.
Additional Entry Information
- After your entry is submitted, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and substitute your image up until the entry deadline (November 4, 2025.)
- Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
