About the Exhibition
It’s that most wonderful time of year – time to create some holiday art!
Let’s fill the FALC Gallery with some fun, playful and beautiful holiday and seasonal art. Think sleigh rides, Santa’s bag, winter wonderlands, glowing Menorahs, glittering Christmas trees, rosy-cheeked children, mittens and boots, animals curled up and cozy by the fire. Whatever comes to mind that makes you think of the warmth and magic of the season.
This is a curated, non-judged exhibition. Up to 90 accepted pieces will be displayed. Each artist is guaranteed to have at least one submission accepted and displayed. Once 90 artists have submitted artwork, this call will be closed for entry.
Maximum size is 30” x 30” including framing. Minimum size is 8” x 8” before framing. All artwork must be framed and wired to the FALC standards, which will be included in the notification letter. These standards also are published on the FALC website. Also accepted are unframed gallery-wrapped pieces on canvasses that are at least 1 ½ inches deep and wired to FALC wiring standards.
Art drop-off and pickup dates are set out below. Artists are advised to be mindful of these dates to ensure their availability.
Member artists of the Fine Arts League of Cary may submit up to four works. At least one submission per artist will be accepted and displayed. The call will close for entry once 90 artists have submitted artwork.

Entry Fee
- FALC Members only: $20 for up to 4 works.
Eligibility Requirements
- Open to all Members of the Fine Arts League of Cary.
- Any 2D artwork is acceptable, such as painting, photography, collaging, mixed media, pastel, pen and ink, digital art, etc.
- 3D, sculpture, crafts, or other forms of decorative arts are not eligible for entry.
Original work shall comply with the following criteria:
- The work is solely the creation of the artist.
- Art reproductions including giclees of paintings, art prints, etc., are not eligible. No copies, mechanical reproductions, molds or kit work will be accepted.
Rules for Entry
Each entry of the proposed artwork is to follow the rules below. Failure to follow these rules may result in disqualification of your submission.
- Uploaded using the ShowSubmit portal.
- Shown without frame, mat, glass, or background visible.
- Presented with the image right-side up and not blurry.
- Size limitation is 30 x 30 inches, including framing. Minimum size is 8 x 8 inches, not including framing.
- Work on gallery-wrapped canvas may be unframed if the edges are painted and the canvas is at least 1 ½ inches deep.
- Entries may not be changed after entry deadline.
- Title and dimensions of entered work cannot be changed after Entry Deadline.
- All works must be wired to FALC wiring standards. Artists will receive specific instructions for wiring in their notification email from ShowSubmit. These standards also are published on the FALC website.
- Artwork must be labeled on the back with the artwork title, artist’s name, phone number and email.
- Artwork must be for sale. The Fine Arts League of Cary will receive a commission of 25% of the sale.
- Entries must be family appropriate. FALC has the right to refuse work deemed inappropriate.
Failure to follow these rules may result in disqualification of your submission for consideration.
Sales
Work must be for sale; NFS is not allowed. The Fine Arts League of Cary will receive a commission of 25% of the sale.
Liability
All entries will be handled with the best care possible. However, FALC, its members and the hosting facility shall not be responsible for loss or damage from any cause. By entering any FALC exhibition or venue, the entering member agrees to abide by these rules.
Copyright statement
The artist retains copyright to their image. However, by submitting to this exhibition, artist agrees to FALC's use of the images for publicity (including future FALC event promotion) and archival purposes. Submission of entries constitutes agreement with all conditions set forth in this prospectus.
Image and Filename Specifications
- File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
- Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
- Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
- Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
- File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
- File Size: There is a 30MB maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.
Additional Entry Information
- You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
- After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (November 6, 2026.)
- Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
- Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
Notifications Are Posted in Your Account
Results will be posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on November 10, 2026. You will also receive an email.
