About the Exhibition
'Tis the season for art, joy, and giving! The Josephy Center is delighted to invite artists to participate in A Gallery of Gifts 2026, a holiday exhibition featuring affordable artwork perfect for gift-giving and collecting.
The exhibit will showcase a wide range of original artwork at accessible prices, available for purchase and take-home directly from the show. It's a wonderful opportunity to introduce your work to new collectors and spread a little holiday cheer — all while directly supporting the Josephy Center's Youth Arts Program, which provides supplies, instruction, and opportunities for young artists in our community.

Entry Fee
- $5 per artist — Submit as much work as you’d like!

Backstock & Replenishment
We encourage artists to create a generous selection of work for A Gallery of Gifts. Because purchased artwork will be available for buyers to take home immediately, we hope to maintain a supply of additional pieces that can be used to replenish the exhibition as artwork sells.
Due to limited gallery and storage space, artists will be asked to bring only a limited number of pieces for the initial installation. Additional artwork may be held by the artist as backstock and brought to the Josephy Center throughout the exhibition as needed. We will contact participating artists when their inventory is running low and request additional pieces.
This allows us to keep the gallery fresh and well-stocked throughout the holiday season while giving artists the opportunity to sell a larger body of work.
Donations
Artists who would like to donate artwork to support the Josephy Center’s Youth Arts Program may enter the coupon code Donate during registration to waive the $5 entry fee. By using the code, the artist confirms that the submitted artwork is being donated to the Youth Arts Program, with 100% of the sale proceeds benefiting the program.
Sales
50% of the sale price goes to the artist and 50% supports the Josephy Center's Youth Arts Program.
Purchased artwork will be available for buyers to take home directly from the exhibit
Eligibility
- Open to all artists working in any 2D or 3D medium.
Artwork Requirements
- All mediums accepted (2D & 3D)
- Images: Please submit one image for each unique artwork or design. If you are submitting multiple similar or identical pieces (such as a set of mugs, ornaments, prints, etc.), one representative image is sufficient.
- Artwork price: All artwork must be priced under $500
- All submitted artwork must be for sale.
- No AI-generated artwork will be accepted.
- Artwork previously exhibited at the Josephy Center is not eligible.
- All accepted works must be ready to hang or display:
- 2D works must have sturdy wire hangers (no sawtooth hooks)
- 3D works must be stable and display-ready
Accepted Art Categories
- Sculpture: Wood, clay, stone, bronze, or metal
- Painting: Oil, acrylic, watercolor
- Drawing: Pastel, pencil, graphite, charcoal, ink
- Printmaking: Woodblock, engraving, etching, monoprint, aquatint, linotype, lithography, silkscreen
- Photography: Traditional and digital photography
- Other: Glass, jewelry, fiber arts, ceramics, mixed media, digital art
Size Limits
- 2D Work: Maximum 1,024 sq. inches (e.g., 32" × 32", including frame)
- 3D Work: Maximum total dimensions 120" (L+W+H)
- Oversized work will not be accepted.
Framing & Presentation Requirements
- All wall-hung work must have a secure wire (upper third).
- Framing is strongly recommended for 2D work.
- Unframed work must have clean, finished edges.
- Glass or plexiglass must be securely attached.

Artwork not meeting presentation or quality standards will not be displayed.

Artists may deliver work in person or ship to the Josephy Center:

- Artwork must arrive no later than November 9, 2026
- Artist must include a prepaid return shipping label
- Use reusable shipping boxes designed for art; label box with last name on narrow edge

After the Exhibition
Shipped artworks will be returned within one week. Artwork without prepaid return shipping will be invoiced with a handling fee for return. After 30 days, unclaimed artwork incurs a $50/month storage fee. Artwork unclaimed after 180 days will be considered legally abandoned.
Liability
The Josephy Center for Arts & Culture will take great care with all artwork; however, JCAC is not responsible for damage, loss, fire, theft, or shipping-related issues. Submission implies agreement to all conditions. Images of accepted artwork may be used for promotional purposes.

Image and Filename Specifications
- File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
- Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
- Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
- Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
- File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
- File Size: There is a 30MB maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.
Additional Entry Information
- You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
- After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (October 21, 2026.)
- Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
- Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
