The Ocotillo Artists Holiday Art Show 2024, presented by the Ocotillo Artists Group, is a showcase of elegance in the heart of Downtown Ocotillo. This upscale, juried art show features local artisans under white tents, displaying original paintings, jewelry, sculpture, pottery, photography, and more. Art and live music combined with Bottle & Bean’s wine garden near the fountain in the main plaza, creates a sophisticated experience that celebrates creativity and culture. Don’t miss this cultural gem in the heart of Ocotillo.

  • $15 Application Fee, NON-refundable (due at time of application)
  • $60 Booth Fee for 10”x10’ space (we will send a link to pay online)
  • $120 Booth Fee for 10’x20’ space (we will send a link to pay online)
  • $50 Late Fee if not paid by the Wednesday, September 25, 2024 deadline

General Information

  • FREE admission to the public
  • Jewelers will be limited to 20% of total accepted artists.
  • Outdoor show will proceed RAIN or SHINE. Show Coordinators reserve the right to cancel in the event of extreme weather or hazardous conditions. No rain date will be scheduled due to the proximity to the Christmas holiday season. If show is cancelled, a discount will be given towards the next organized show.
  • Booth Fees are NON-refundable.
  • Promotion will include; social media, printed media, postcards, email blasts and signage.
  • Booth Sitters: Volunteers will be available for short breaks for the artists throughout the day, as well as assist in tent set-up and tear-down. Volunteers will not handle artwork for liability purposes.
  • Artists Set-up: Artist must arrive at least 1 hour before show time. Artist will not be allowed to drive into or set up once the show has begun. Booth fee will not be refunded.
Show organizers reserve the right to deny show privileges to any artist for a no-show, non-compliance with our policies or who show disrespectful and unprofessional behavior.

Required Information for Application

  • Artist Statement, 250 words or less
  • 3 Photos of your artwork - required
  • 1 Photo of your booth with tent - required
  • Artists Name, Email Address & Cell Phone Number – each are required
  • Website and/or Social Media link(s) up to three sites - at least one is required

    (Your website can be added by editing your ShowSubmit account.)
  • Valid Arizona TPT License number (aztaxes.gov) - required

    If selected, you must add the regions of, Maricopa County and the City of Chandler to your AZ TPT license.
  • Business Name and Physical Address (NO PO Boxes) - required
  • Chandler Business License number, IF your business is based within the City of Chandler, AZ

Image Guildlines

  • If your image is 2-D, crop out all parts of the photo that are not the actual work; do not show mat, frame, etc, only the work itself. Do not photograph with glass over the artwork.
  • If your image is 3-D, you may submit a photo of an individual piece of work, or a cohesive grouping, as long as it is part of a series. Do not photograph random pieces together.

Booth Displays

  • A WHITE (required) 10’x10’, or 10 x 20, straight legged tent is required and artists are responsible for providing their own displays, pedestals, tables, chairs, signage, etc.
  • 30 – 40 lb. weights are REQUIRED on EACH leg of your tent. We will check for these and ask you to remedy it or leave the show. Winds can be unpredictable and cause damage to other artist’s booths and artwork.
  • Booth space will be on pavement and/or paved cobblestone. Bring shims or supports if needed. Additional space may be available for displays on the side of the tent but is not guaranteed. If you wish to have side display, please contact us or purchase a double (10’x20’) space.
  • Artists will be able to load/unload from your vehicle, near your booth. If you have a hand truck or wheeled cart, you may wish to bring it.
  • Artist will NOT have access to electricity, so be sure to bring portable chargers for phones, tablets, etc. Gas powered generators are not allowed.
  • If using tables, please use solid table coverings that reach to the ground.
  • Items should be clearly marked with your prices. NO discount or sales signs allowed. Artist may, discretely, discount their work at their own discretion.
  • If artwork is displayed that is not similar to the work that they were juried in for, they will be asked to remove it.
  • Political artwork and/or signage will not be allowed.
  • Artist check-in time starts at 7:00am, the day of the show. Artist must be ready by the start of the show. NO packing up before the end of the show.

Terms of Entry

  • All images and artist’s statements submitted may be used for the purpose of advertising the Ocotillo Art Show.
  • I hereby certify that I will sell only ORIGINAL artwork and handmade items in the single category for which they have been juried. This may include fine art prints, giclee’s, note cards, scarves, home décor, ornaments and other items as long as the artwork has been designed by the artist. Artist will be asked to leave if these rules are violated. Fees will not be returned.
  • Items mass produced, MLM and food vendors are not allowed. Nearby restaurants will be open for food and drink.
  • Artist is responsible for their own day of event insurance, payment system, receipts, collecting and remitting taxes to the proper entities.
  • Artist will agree to not hold Ocotillo Artists Group, its members, staff, volunteers, SLAB Studio LLC, Sandy Ashbaugh Ceramics, Sandy Ashbaugh, Spike Lawrence, Spike Lawrence Ventures, Downtown Ocotillo, neighboring restaurants, businesses or any other entity, responsible for any wrongdoing or mishap that may occur.
  • Artist accepted into this show will agree to these terms.

Additional Notification Information

Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on September 13, 2024.

You may view the notification in your ShowSubmit account by logging in and tapping the Notifications at the top right of the screen, or in your Entry History (Accepted works will be notated by a green check.)

If you do not receive your email, login and view the notification in your account. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications.

Note: Entries made prior to 2023 may not display the View Notification link.

Image and Filename Specifications

  • Submit your original JPEG image files.
  • Crop out all parts of the photo that are not the actual work; do not show mat, frame, etc, only the work itself.
  • Image must be displayed right side up.
  • You do not need to resize your image files.
  • You do not need to rename your image files.

Additional Entry Information

  • You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
  • After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (August 30, 2024.)
  • Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
  • Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
