Purpose

This event is a fundraiser for the Cape May Point Arts & Science Center—an important cultural and environmental institution in the region. Artists are encouraged to price their work to promote sales and maximize support for the Center.

Exhibition Overview

We invite submissions for an exhibition of artwork of multiple mediums to be held at the Cape May Point Arts & Science Center. This exhibition aims to showcase works that reflect connection to place, the natural environment, and artistic exploration.

Entry Fee

$15 per artist. Up to 5 artworks may be submitted.

Eligibility

  • Open to all artists in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and New York.
  • Mediums Accepted: Mixed media works of art will be accepted including:
    • Collage
    • Ceramics
    • Encaustic
    • Mixed Media
    • Photography
    • Sculpture
    • Textiles
    • Woodworking
  • Up to 5 works per artist

Display Details

  • Wall Art: Art will be displayed on approximately 12 five-foot-wide panels. The Seagrove Art Cooperative jury will curate layout and artist placement.
  • Sculpture: Display will be coordinated with each artist for optimal presentation.

Sales

40% of the sale price of each piece will support the Cape May Point Arts & Science Center and Seagrove Art Cooperative.

Publicity

Accepted works may be used in promotional materials for the event.

Shipping & Delivery

  • Hand Delivery: May 1 or 2 | 10:00 AM – 3:00 pm
  • Shipped Work: Must arrive in reusable art shipping boxes (e.g., Air Float Boxes) by May 2nd and include a pre-paid return label, if applicable.
  • Labeling: Each accepted work must be accompanied by a card including:
    • Artist’s name
    • Email contact
    • Title
    • Medium
    • Price

Liability

By submitting work, artists agree that neither Seagrove Art Cooperative nor the Cape May Point Arts & Science Center is responsible for damage, theft, or loss during transport, installation, or exhibition. Artists are encouraged to insure their work. A liability waiver must be signed upon delivery.

We look forward to showcasing your work and launching a new tradition in Cape May Point.

Additional Notification Information

Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on April 15, 2026.

If you do not receive your email, login and view the notification in your account. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications.

Image and Filename Specifications

  • File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
  • Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
  • Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
  • Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
  • File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
  • File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.

Additional Entry Information

  • You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
  • After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (March 25, 2026.)
  • Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
  • Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
