LVAG announces the upcoming online “Creative Inspiration Art Show.” The online exhibit will feature works of art that have creatively inspired the artist in some way. Inspiration is defined as mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially creatively. Creative is defined as being inspired and then motivated to produce something creatively. In other words, how we experience the world as artists inspires us to create art.

Judging
The online exhibit will feature works of art from all mediums that have creatively inspired the artist in some way. The Judge will choose from the accepted artwork and award in the categories of Best in Show, 1st place, and 2nd place. Cash and ribbon awards will be given to the winning artists.

Lucy Brownlee relocated to Las Vegas in 2021 from Central Illinois. She has had a background in fine and applied art for over 40 years, working as a professional graphic designer and fine artist. She has owned several art businesses including an award-winning automotive airbrushing company, silk screen and sign shops. Her own interests as an artist include painting, ceramics, stained glass, mixed media, and textiles.
Lucy is an experienced art show host, participant and judge. She currently works in studio for renowned artist Michael Godard, and owns a thriving live painting business here in Las Vegas.

Entry Fees
- An entry fee of $45 is required from each LVAG member in good standing.
- Each artist will be able to submit up to 3 images.
- A maximum of 3 entries per artist will be accepted into the online exhibition.
- JEWELRY ARTISTS - Sets are considered one entry piece.
Entry fees are non-refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.
Eligibility
The “Creative Inspiration Show” will be open to all LVAG members in good standing. Members who need to renew with LVAG or non-members who would like to join LVAG must complete the application form at our LVAG Membership page on our website before the entry deadline. If you are not a member in good standing prior to the entry deadline, your entry will be disqualified and non-refundable.
Artwork Requirements
Allowed Mediums
- Art must be the artist’s original work.
- Artwork mediums include acrylic, pastel, oils, watercolor, mixed media, drawing, digital art, encaustic, photography, sculpture, ceramics, porcelain, glassware, original wearable art, and jewelry.
- Only original compositions and artwork by the artist are accepted.
- Jewelry must be of an original concept and design.
Not Allowed
- Artwork cannot be original art created in a different format such as mugs, tiles, pillows, or clothing.
- Artwork done in an art class or workshop is not permitted.
- Art may not be based on copyright protected sources.
- Subjects that are nudes or adult themed and uncompleted works of art are not permitted.
- No copy giclee prints are allowed.
LVAG reserves the right to refuse any painting or work of art that does not meet these standards. Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
Sales
Paintings may be priced for sale or not for sale (NFS). Changes may not be permitted after the deadline to submit. All sales inquiries from a prospective customer will be submitted through the LVAG website at lvartistsguild.org/contact. LVAG will notify the artist to contact the potential customer. The artist will be entirely responsible for all aspects of the sale of their artwork. LVAG will not collect commission fees for this art show.

Image and Filename Specifications
- File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
- Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
- Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
- Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
- File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
- File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.
Additional Entry Information
- You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
- After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (January 17, 2025.)
- Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
- Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
