This is a unique opportunity to display during the High Point furniture market, April 10th through the 17th, in the Oliver Home Furnishings showroom. During the week-long market last year over $40,000 of artwork was sold.

This will be a juried exhibit. We are looking for a cohesive body of work or collections. Artists may submit for consideration up to 12 pieces of their work. The Entry Fee for this show will be $35. Selections will be made by a panel of judges and notifications of acceptance will be sent out on April 6th.

Entry Fees

  • AAWS Members may submit up to 12 artworks.
  • $35 per artist
Entry fees must be paid online by the deadline using a credit card. Entry fees are not refundable.

Entry Requirements

  • We are looking for a cohesive body of work or collections. Artists may submit for consideration up to 12 pieces of their work.
  • No piece may exceed 50 inches horizontally or 48 vertically, including frame, or 35 pounds in weight.
  • All 2-dimensional works must be framed in a professional manner with wire attachment and be ready to hang.
  • No “alligator” type hangers.
  • Canvases must be framed, or gallery wrapped with no visible staples or unpainted canvas.
  • Canvases with wet paint will not be accepted.
  • Works on paper should be protected by glass or Plexiglas.
  • Improperly presented work will not be accepted.
  • This is a Family venue: no nudes or offensive subjects, please.
  • All types of 2D fine art media accepted.
  • 3D work may be considered if it can be hung securely on the wall and will be subject to approval.
  • Mass produced printed reproductions of paintings or drawings will not be exhibited.
  • Hand-pulled prints, original digital prints and photographs are all acceptable.
  • All work must be the exhibitor’s original idea and be created by the exhibitor.

Sales

Work may be for sale; NFS is allowed.
Sales will be managed by Oliver Home Furnishings and processed by AAWS. AAWS will take a 30 percent commission and the artist will receive 70 percent of each sale.

Virtual Gallery/Promotional Images

  • Submit a photo with as little reflection as possible if your work is behind glass.
  • AAWS reserves the right to use these photos for promotional purposes and display them online in the Virtual Gallery.

Artwork Drop-off

Artwork should be delivered to the Oliver Home Furnishings Showroom, 200 N. Hamilton, Suite 129, High Point, NC. 27260, on Monday, April 8th, between 8am – 5pm. Artists, under the guidance of Oliver Home Furnishings staff, will be responsible for hanging their own artwork.

Artwork Pick-up

The pick-up date for artwork that didn’t sell will be on Friday, April 19th.
There will be a cocktail Gallery Viewing Reception, April 12th from 5 to 6pm.

Additional Notification Information

Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on April 5, 2024.

You may view the notification in your ShowSubmit account by logging in and tapping the Notifications at the top right of the screen, or in your Entry History.

If you do not receive your email, login and view the notification in your account. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications.

Note: Entries made prior to 2023 may not display the View Notification link.

Image and Filename Specifications

  • File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
  • Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
  • Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
  • Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
  • File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
  • File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.

Additional Entry Information

  • You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
  • After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (April 4, 2024.)
  • Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
  • Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
