Catoctin Land Trust is Maryland’s only land trust dedicated to preserving the woods and waters of the Appalachian Trail landscape. Our vision is an enduring connected and living Appalachian Mountain landscape of protected forests, clean streams, regenerative farmland and vibrant communities in Frederick and Washington counties.

Catoctin Land Trust engages community members to expand their appreciation for our surrounding environment and to invites those who treasure the creative life and this land to share their connections through art.

“Art Along the Trail” is a project for artists and creators to share their stories, their connections with this special landscape, through art showcasing farmland and vibrant communities in Frederick and Washington counties.
