A Note on Awards

All members are eligible to receive a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or Honorable Mention award. Artists who check the “Developing Artist” box when submitting are also eligible for the two awards reserved for developing artists. Developing Artist is defined as an artist who has not yet been accepted to any national or international pastel show requiring 80% or more soft pastel. Artists may receive only one award in the show.

Who Can Submit

All members in good standing are eligible to submit. Dues must be paid in advance of submission. If you are not sure if you have paid your dues for 2024, check the Directory on cmpastels.org.

Submission Process and Fee

  • Submissions must be made online at ShowSubmit.
  • Check the “Developing Artist” box if you qualify for, and wish to be considered for, the Developing Artist awards.
  • You do not have to resize or name your image files.

  • All submitted pieces will appear in the show.

Submission Requirements

  • Work must be at least 80% soft pastel.
