Juror/Judge
Lyn Asselta is a Pastel Society of America Master Pastelist, an International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS) Eminent Pastelist and a member of the Salamgundi Club of New York City. She is the founder and past president of the First Coast Pastel Society (FL) and a Southeastern Pastel Society Member of Excellence. Her award winning paintings have appeared in shows and exhibitions throughout the United States and.in invitational exhibitions in France and China. Her work has been featured in several books on the pastel medium, as well as in Pastel Journal magazine, Pratique des Arts magazine, and Plein Air magazine. In 2018 Lyn published her first book, Seeing the Landscape, a collection of her paintings and prose. She teaches workshops in both studio and plein air and writes a weekly newsletter on life and art, Saturdays at the Cove.
Entry Fee
Up to 3 works may be submitted by an individual artist.
$35 for the first work, plus $5 for each additional work.
Entry fees are not refundable.

Entries must be ORIGINAL (no copies from other artists or published material, and not done under supervision)

Paintings shown in previous DPS exhibits are not eligible.
All inquiries for sales will be directed to the artist who will be responsible for completion and shipment of the sale. DPS charges NO commission.
Notifications and Accepted Works
Artists will be notified of the decision of the judge by November 29, 2024. The judge will select 90 to 100 paintings with a maximum of 2 paintings from each artist. Please add [email protected] to your safe senders list to ensure mail delivery.

Image and Filename Specifications
Submit your original JPEG image files.
Crop out all parts of the photo that are not the actual work; do not show mat, frame, etc, only the work itself.

JPEG image files should use the sRGB color profile for best results.

Images should be at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge and no larger than 30mb.
The maximum upload file size limit is 30mb. Large image files may take longer to process and upload.
Images that are smaller than 1500 pixels on the longest edge cannot be made larger to meet the requirements. ShowSubmit cannot 'upsize' your images. They will be saved as is.
Image files are automatically resized to 300 dpi and 1500 pixels on the longest edge.
You do not need to resize your image files if they meet the above specifications.
If you have already resized your images, or if you prefer to resize your images yourself, ShowSubmit will not resize the image if it meets the exact show specifications.
You do not need to rename your image files.
Image files are automatically renamed using your last name, first initial and the title of the work. e.g. Hamby_D_BeautifulDay.jpg
All images must be high quality jpeg (jpg) image files. Set your camera to the highest possible quality image, use good lighting on your painting without any glass in front of it, and use a tripod for your camera. Once the photo is taken, you must crop out all parts of the photo that are not the actual painting; do not show mat, frame, etc, only the painting itself.
Additional Entry Information
You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (November 1, 2024.)
Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
