Juror and Judge

Phil Sandusky is a nationally renowned plein air impressionist landscape and cityscape painter who has had 35 solo exhibits in New Orleans and across the country. He studied academic art privately from a very early age and graduated from Jacksonville University with a BA in Physics in 1980. In keeping with his duel interest in science, he has infused a modern scientific understanding of vision into his art. He’s written four books and been featured in such national periodicals as “American Artist” and “Plein Air Magazine”. He is one of 276 dead and living artists entered in the official bicentennial art history of Louisiana. He is represented by Lemieux Galleries in New Orleans and he is in such collections as the New Orleans Museum of Art, the Louisiana State Museum and the Historic New Orleans Collection.

Exhibit Venue

The Hammond Regional Arts Center (HRAC) offers a large beautiful gallery in the old town area of historic Hammond, about 50 miles north of New Orleans. The Center supports, promotes and coordinates visual, performing and literary arts in Tangipahoa Parish and surrounding parishes. Its primary mission is to enrich lives through quality arts education, develop an appreciation of the arts within individuals and introduce the public to professional exhibitions, performances and literature.
