Selection Jurors

Entries will be independently scored by a panel of nationally recognized, professional plein air artists, who are signature members in at least one major national art organization. PAAC keeps the names of the selection jurors anonymous.

The Judge of Awards is not involved in the selection process.

Online Catalog

PAAC will have online catalogs of all accepted works on a dedicated website via ShowSubmit.

Advertising Opportunities

Publication Sponsors will offer all PAAC members special group advertising rates for specific issues. Participation is encouraged and recommended for this prestigious event.

Eligibility and Requirements

  • Open to all current PAAC Members.
    Join today! Membership information:
  • Must be two-dimensional media, excluding photography, fiber and digital media.
  • Only original paintings completed “en plein air” in 2022, 2023 and until the deadline in 2024 are eligible.
  • No studio paintings. Still life, etc. paintings will not be accepted unless clearly completed outdoors.
  • Work done in class and/or under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible for entry.
  • Works that have been exhibited in previous PAAC National shows are not eligible for entry.
  • An artist who withdraws an entry after acceptance into the exhibition shall not be eligible to enter any PAAC exhibition for the two succeeding years.
  • Digital images are assumed to be accurate representations of the entrant’s original artworks. Artwork that differs markedly from the submitted image will be disqualified.


All sales will be at the artists discretion and all arrangements for sale, payment, and shipping is to be arranged solely by the artist.

Entry Requirements

  • By entering into the show, all participating artists agree to the requirements herein. There will be no exceptions to deadlines, specs or rules.
  • Entry submission is through only.
  • The artist retains copyright to his/her image(s), however, by submitting to this show, artist agrees to PAAC's use of the images for publicity (including future PAAC event promotion) and archival purposes.
  • All fees, for example, Member dues, Entry fees, etc. are non-refundable, whether or not work is accepted and/or presented for exhibition. Entry fees and current year dues must be received prior to jurying or application will not be deemed complete.
  • Artist is solely responsible for completing application through the system. Only completed applications with fees paid will be considered.

Entry Fees

Entry fees are Non-refundable
  • $50 for up to 3 submissions.
  • $10 for each additional submission up to 2 (total of 5 submissions = $70).
  • Entry fees paid on site.
  • Artist may submit up to 5 images, but a maximum of 3 may be selected for the show.

How to Enter

Accepted Artwork

  1. Paintings for sale must include price, size, and whether or not price includes frame.
  2. Shipping, if sold, to be arranged through the artist and buyer.
  3. Artists will be responsible for any sales made through the show, including but not limited to collecting payment, shipment or delivery of artwork, etc.
  4. PAAC is not responsible for sales nor delivery of artwork.


All entries will be made at the risk of the entrant.

PAAC does not provide insurance and is NOT responsible for damage/loss if shipped/sold.

PAAC is not responsible for misrepresentation of artwork during the show. The artist is solely responsible for submitting image(s) and information that represent the artwork submitted.

Additional Notification Information

Notifications will be emailed by the end of the day on November 1, 2024. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications before that time.

After notifications are sent, you may view the status of your entry in your ShowSubmit artist account’s Entry History. Accepted works will be notated by a green check.

If you do not receive your email, you may also view your notification letter using the View Notification link in your Entry History.

Note: Entries made prior to 2023 may not display the View Notification link.

Image and Filename Specifications

  • Submit your original JPEG image files.
  • Crop out all parts of the photo that are not the actual work; do not show mat, frame, etc, only the work itself.
  • Image must be displayed right side up.
  • You do not need to resize your image files.
  • You do not need to rename your image files.

Additional Entry Information

  • You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
  • After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (October 21, 2024.)
  • Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
  • Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
