Jurors

Mark Daly, markdaly.com
Mark Daly’s purpose for painting is to create joy. He paints city, boat, beach, and other memorable scenes by orchestrating people and places, sunlight and shadow, sea and snow, into unique visual stories. A keen focus on good design, the right values, and expressive paint application help Mark create an in-the-moment sense of light, mood, and movement in his work. He uses all five senses when painting. For example, with a musical background, he considers how a painting should look and sound. This enables Mark to add more life to his compositions. Mark’s goal is to create art with the highest standards that stands the test of time.

Mark’s artwork is in distinguished private, corporate, and university collections, worldwide. He is represented by Rehs Contemporary Galleries, Cincinnati Art Galleries, and Folly Cove Fine Art. He has won First Place/Gold Medal and other prominent awards in national juried art exhibitions and has had nine solo shows. He has a studio on the coast of Maine and travels worldwide to paint on location.

Mark is Signature Member and an elected Board Member of the American Impressionist Society. He is also Signature Member of Oil Painters of America, American Society of Marine Artists, Cincinnati Art Club, a Juried Artist Member of the Rockport Art Association & Museum, and an elected Shareholder of the Cincinnati Art Museum. Mark graduated from Cornell University's College of Arts and Sciences and has a master’s degree from The University of Pennsylvania.

An experience that helps Mark be a better artist is composing and sharing the joy of music. Mark has written over 50 original, published compositions that include performances by Grammy Award winning musicians. He is a Voting Member of the Grammys.
