Exhibition of original oils in any subject of, watercolors, pastels, colored pencils, acrylics, mixed media, print, graphics, and sculpture. Open only to non-members.
Entry Fee
Up to 2 works per entry permitted.
$35 for one work.
$40 for two works.
Entry fees are not refundable and must be paid by the entry deadline.
Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
Exhibition Requirements
All mediums.
Artists may submit two work for consideration.
Artists are responsible for providing images with an accurate representation of their unframed work.
If accepted, artists will be sent instructions to provide an accurate representation of their framed work.
Professionally framed with wire for hanging.
Outside dimensions of frame may not exceed 42 inches.
Sculptures may not exceed 36 inches in height, and no more than 40lbs
Only work not previously shown at Salmagundi may be submitted.
If work is not for sale, please write “NFS” on the hangtag that will be included in acceptance email.
Works not received by the stated dates will not be hung.
Acceptance /Rejection emails will arrive via ShowSubmit.
Artists can edit their own entries during the entirety of the submission period through ShowSubmit. After the submission deadline, changes to submission entry will not be accepted.
Submissions not adhering to the Exhibition Requirements will be omitted. The decision of the Art Committee is Final.
It is customary for the club to receive a donation of 40% of all sales. 60% to the artist.
Shipped Work
After acceptance, works being shipped must be sent in Air Float boxes with the name of the exhibition on the outside of the package. Artists who do not utilize Air Float boxes will incur a $35 unpacking/packing charge.
Artwork Removal
Works must be removed immediately after the exhibition. A return shipping label must be provided by the artist, if the work is to be shipped back after the exhibition.
Liability
Images of accepted artwork may be used by the Club for publicity, advertising, or other purposes.
Consent
Artworks will be available for sale on The Salmagundi Club website. The artist gives consent to being photographed and/or recorded during reception, if attended.
The Salmagundi Club is not responsible for loss, fire, burglary, or any other damage to artwork submitted. Submitting or sending a work of art implies an agreement on the part of the artist with the conditions set forth above.

Additional Notification Information
Notifications will be emailed by the end of the day on May 13, 2024. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications before that time.
After notifications are sent, you may view the status of your entry in your ShowSubmit artist account’s Entry History. Accepted works will be notated by a green check.
If you do not receive your email, you may also view your notification letter using the View Notification link in your Entry History.

Image and Filename Specifications
Submit your original JPEG image files.
Crop out all parts of the photo that are not the actual work; do not show mat, frame, etc, only the work itself.

Images should be at least 1900 pixels on the longest edge and no larger than 30mb.
The maximum upload file size limit is 30mb. Large image files may take longer to process and upload.
Images that are smaller than 1900 pixels on the longest edge cannot be made larger to meet the requirements. ShowSubmit cannot 'upsize' your images. They will be saved as is.
Image files are automatically resized to 300 dpi and 1900 pixels on the longest edge.
You do not need to resize your image files if they meet the above specifications.
If you have already resized your images, or if you prefer to resize your images yourself, ShowSubmit will not resize the image if it meets the exact show specifications.
You do not need to rename your image files.
Image files are automatically renamed using your last name, first initial and the title of the work. e.g. Hamby_D_BeautifulDay.jpg
All images must be high quality jpeg (jpg) image files. Set your camera to the highest possible quality image, use good lighting on your painting without any glass in front of it, and use a tripod for your camera. Once the photo is taken, you must crop out all parts of the photo that are not the actual painting; do not show mat, frame, etc, only the painting itself.

You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (May 9, 2024.)
Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
