The Salmagundi Club will host an overview of singular impressions–monotype, monoprint, and collagraphs–celebrating the unique results of monotype printmaking. Entry is open to Salmagundi Artist Members and non-member artists.

Entry Fees

Non Member Entry fees:
$20 for one work, $10 for each additional work up to four

Members Entry fee: gratis

Exhibition Requirements

  • Artists may submit up to four works for consideration.
  • Outside dimensions (including mat and frame) must not exceed 36”.
  • Artworks previously included in a Salmagundi Club exhibit are not eligible.
  • All works must be professionally framed and ready for hanging. No sawtooth hangers! Please use D-Rings and Wire.
  • All items must include a price or be marked NFS. No POR.
  • Labels must be filled out completely & legibly. Please cut labels where indicated.
  • Attach the top portion to back of frame. Attach the bottom portion so it can be seen from the front. Avoid damage to gilding by not taping to the frame
  • The Salmagundi Club retains 30% on all sales.
  • The selection and placement of work is the decision of the Jury of selection and is final.
  • Accepted work will remain in place through the last day of the exhibition.
  • Thirty days after the end of the exhibition, each uncollected work will incur a $50 monthly fee which shall be billed to the artist, while the work(s) stay at the Club. Uncollected works after 180 days will legally be considered abandoned property.
Submissions not adhering to the above guidelines may be omitted from the exhibition.

Shipping and Delivery

  • After acceptance, works not delivered in person must be shipped in reusable shipping boxes for art, with “Monotype Open” clearly marked on the box. Works delivered after the receiving dates will not be accepted.
  • Air Float boxes are recommended. Members contact [email protected] for a 10% discount code.
  • Return shipping labels must be included in the box!

Deinstallation

Works must be removed immediately after the exhibition ends. All art must be picked up on-site by the artist or an agent. Please bring any necessary materials required to transport your art safely.

Liability

The Salmagundi Club is not responsible for loss, fire, burglary, or any other damage to artwork submitted. Submitting or sending a work of art implies an agreement on the part of the artist with the conditions set forth above. Images of accepted artwork may be used by the Club for publicity, advertising, or other purposes.

Notifications will be emailed and posted in your ShowSubmit account by the end of the day on November 19, 2024.

You may view the notification in your ShowSubmit account by logging in and tapping the Notifications at the top right of the screen, or in your Entry History.

If you do not receive your email, login and view the notification in your account. We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the status of notifications.

Image and Filename Specifications

  • File Format: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files. Other formats (e.g., PNG, TIFF) are not accepted.
  • Crop Your Image: Ensure only the artwork itself is visible in the image. Do not show any visible matting, frames, or background distractions.
  • Orientation: Make sure your image is oriented correctly (right side up) so that the artwork appears in its intended viewing direction.
  • Image Size: You do not need to resize your image files before uploading. The system will automatically resize them. Smaller images cannot be enlarged to meet the requirements, so ensure your images are high resolution before uploading.
  • File Names: You do not need to rename your files before uploading them. The system will handle any file naming requirements.
  • File Size: There is a 30mb maximum file size limit. Larger image files will take longer to upload and process.

Additional Entry Information

  • You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card using our secure checkout system.
  • After your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images up until the entry deadline (November 11, 2024.)
  • Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline.
  • Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
